About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Cost Accountant / Accounting Supervisor to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong cost accounting expertise and a passion for leading accounting operations. The successful candidate will oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities across multiple sites while supporting month-end close, financial reporting, and audit activities.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & Supervision

• Supervise Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions across multiple locations while ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Review AP transactions to validate account coding and ensure timely, accurate payment processing
• Ensure adherence to the three-way match process and resolve discrepancies as needed
• Monitor Received Not Invoiced (RNI) balances and reconcile AP aging reports to the General Ledger
• Review ACH payment entries and assist with weekly payment processing
• Support monthly AP accrual entries

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Recognition

• Review AR transactions to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance with payment terms
• Review cash receipt entries and verify accurate cash applications
• Monitor AR aging reports and assist with collections activities
• Partner with Customer Service to resolve billing issues and customer disputes
• Ensure customer purchase orders and shipping documentation support customer invoices

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support General Ledger accounting functions
• Coordinate and gather documentation for annual external audits
• Provide backup support for AP and AR team members when needed
• Perform special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned

Qualifications

Required

? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

? 5-7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

? Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

? Experience working with ERP systems

? Strong query-building and data mining capabilities

? Experience in a manufacturing or contract manufacturing environment

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

? Collaborative team player with a customer-service mindset

Preferred

? Strong Cost Accounting experience

? Proven problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset

? Ability to identify issues proactively and drive resolution

? Results-driven professional with a positive, "can-do" attitude

? Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
